You can become a Sasquatch in Grand Theft Auto V, but it is crazy difficult

ome a sasquatch in Grand Theft Auto V

People have been playing Grand Theft Auto V for years now, and it continues to surprise them with Easter eggs and impossible to destroy, but oh-so tempting trains.

A new trick has just been discovered involving a Sasquatch. You can actually play as Bigfoot – but only if you meet some very specific requirements. Some crazily specific requirements.

To begin with, you need to have the update that introduces the “Directors Mode.” That has been available on PC for a while now, but it only just came to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

That update isn’t available on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 due to technical issues, so you can’t become the Sasquatch on the older gen systems.

To become Bigfoot, you fist need to earn the new achievement known as the “Cryptozoologist.” In order to do that, you must collect all the animals you can use in the Directors mode, which you do by finding peyote plants scattered throughout San Andreas.

After you’ve done that, you need to head to a very specific location in Chiliad State Park (the coordinates can be found at this link, which was provided by a Reddit user named “rkRusty”). Once there, you’ll find a golden peyote that unlocks Sasquatch – but there are certain conditions.

The golden peyote won’t be available at all times. To find it, you will need to be at the right location at 5:30 am to 8 am on a Tuesday morning (game time). The weather also needs to be exactly right – it needs to be foggy. You must also have spared the Sasquatch during the mission where you were tasked with hunting it down.

If you’ve met all these requirements, you can play as the Sasquatch. You can run, jump, shoot, drive, and probably mess with people in the woods carrying crappy video equipment. The only limitation is that you can’t switch to first person mode.

Check it out below, and happy hunting.
