Watch the first episode of CW’s Vixen here, now
If you can’t wait for the fall to get your fix of DC superheroes on TV, then CW has a little sumpthin’ sumpthin’ for you. The network has released the first webisode for the new, animated series Vixen, and you can watch it right now.
The video doesn’t seem to easily be embeddable, so you’ll have to follow that link above. Even if I could find a way to embed it, CW obviously is hoping you will check out the CWSeed site, which along with Vixen contains several other full episodes of existing shows, along with some other online-only clips.
The five-minute episode is the first of six. The complete 30 minute season will comprise a single story, set in the same universe as Arrow, The Flash, and the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow.
If Vixen is a hit, there has already beed talk of her appearing on one of the three live-action CW shows.
Despite some claims that CW isn’t currently planning on further expanding its DC universe with any more series, the existing properties are becoming so intricately connected that the character could – if nothing else – become a frequent guest on multiple shows.
The series stars Megalyn Echikunwoke (Mind Games, The Following) as Vixen. In the first episode, she is joined by Stephen Amell as Arrow, Grant Gustin as The Flash, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity, and Carlos Valdes as Cisco.
The series will drop new episodes weekly from now through September 29. Check them out on CW Seed.
