Welcome to Dead Beats Panel

Hello, and welcome to Dead Beats Panel!

First, a quick word about who we are and what we do. DBP is an entertainment news website dedicated to covering the topics modern web surfers are interested in. And we do so with what we hope is a unique slant.

We cover the entertainment news found within the shadow of technology. We write for the people that like superhero movies and sci-fi TV shows. We report stories that fans of space exploration and fringe technologies want to read. We post stories from around the web that confirm how weird the world can be. We work for people that play video games, but don’t want to be pigeonholed and labeled as “gamers.” In the near future, we’ll also introduce original videos and podcasts.

We are a small organization without corporate parentage. That gives us a huge amount of freedom; we don’t answer to anyone (other than our readers), so we aren’t influenced by larger agendas. The downside to that is that it means we have a small number of people doing the work of many. You may find typos. You may catch the occasional error.

We need your help to grow, and we ask for your patience as we find our stride.

If you see something out of place, if you catch a broken link or missing image, if you find a misspelled word, please drop us a line and let us know. We’ll correct it as soon as possible, and you’ll have our thanks. If you have a suggestion on things we should be covering but aren’t please let us know! Head on over to our contact page and drop us a line.

We don’t care about your politics. We don’t care about what gaming platform is “the best.” We’re fans, just like you, and we’re interested in the same things you are.

Our goal is to celebrate the industries we love. So relax. Take off your work shoes. Put on your casual cardigan and join us.

We have big plans for the future, and we need your help to get there. Thank you for reading, and welcome to DBP!

Comments Policy

Our policy when it comes to comments is fairly simple: Don’t be a dick.

The Internet can be a vicious place, but we intend to do everything we can to make our forums a place where people can exchange ideas, and maybe even have the odd, healthy debate.

We encourage differing opinions, and want you to feel free and comfortable to disagree with the stories and other commenters. But keep it civil, and keep it relevant, or risk a ban.

To be more specific, we will not tolerate personal attacks. We will not tolerate hateful, blatantly offensive, or racist language (or images).

We will also not accept comments that reveal the personal information of others without their permission, or copyrighted material. Multiple, duplicate posts will also be removed.

Oh, and while it certainly sounds interesting that you “just made $500 working from home,” keep it to yourself. We love to get feedback, and we really want a strong community to continue the discussion after the articles have been posted. That said, we would rather do away with comments altogether than have people feel threatened and disrespected simply because of who we are. In other words, don’t be a dick.
