This ghostly figure in a parking lot has people freaking out

Security footage from a forklift in Perth, Australia caught a ghostly figure on camera in a parking lot, and people are freaking over it.

Halloween is on the way, and there are still plenty of ghost and spirits floating around the world. And by “the world,” I mean the Internet, but let’s not get bogged down by semantics.

In the lead up to Halloween last year, we posted a bunch of videos showing what was purported to be videos of ghosts and a few others bits of supernatural whatsits. It fit with the season and it was fun, so expect a whole lot more in the coming weeks.

As for this clip, view it with some skepticism. You should do that with all clips like this, but this one comes via the UK site The Mirror, so that is already one strike against it. Still, the video has been making the rounds beyond just the Mirror, so the clip is gaining popularity. The Mirror is just where we happened upon it.

The clip is from a parking lot in Perth, Australia and it was taken from a security camera located on a forklift. The parking lot is empty at the time, at least it’s empty until an ethereal figure is seen floating across the camera.

There are plenty of explanations as to what this could be, starting with a glitch in the video showing an earlier image bleeding through – or at least that’s a common argument against footage like this, even though it is likely digitally recorded, and digital recordings don’t really allow bleed through.

There’s always the chance that it was faked, of course, but if so you’d think they could have come up with something grander.

If it is a spirit, it seems to be a benign one. That’s surprising, given that it is in Australia. Everything in Australia from bugs to animals seems to want to kill you, so a peaceful ghost is almost out of character.

Check out the clip below, and look for more ghostly clips in the weeks to come.
