The Call of Duty Championship continues this weekend

Looking for something to do this weekend? We’ve got you covered. Well, not us per se, more accurately Call of Duty have you covered with the next round in its annual Call of Duty Championship sponsored by PlayStation 4.

All weekend long, tune in to Twitch,, head to Call of Duty’s official eSports page, or just watch it below as the Call of Duty World League concludes Stage 2 of its inaugural Pro Division competition. The best players in the world will compete in Burbank, CA for a spot in the finals and a piece of the $3.5 million season-long prize purse.

The competition will then conclude over Labor Day in Los Angeles, with winners of the previous rounds competing for huge cash prizes.

So check out the action below. And while you’re doing that, why not check out our thoughtful analysis on the failure of the Wii U, or a close up look at Tokyo’s weirdest retro video game store, Super Potato?

The games began at 9:30 am PST with quarterfinals on Thursday, July 14 and Friday, July 15, then continue with the semifinals on Saturday at 3pm PST. The finals will then be held on Sunday when the top EU and North American teams will play for their share of the cash prize.

Check it out below, and while you’re at it, why not check out our Ghostbusters review? Or maybe take a peek at why people think NASA may be hiding the evidence of UFOs (that’s a good one). Enjoy!
