Want to play Rainbow Six: Siege? Try signing up for the alpha
If you’ve been waiting for a chance to play Rainbow Six: Siege, you now at least have a chance. Finally. A closed alpha is on the way, and you can register now for a shot.
No word yet on when the alpha will go live, but the registration is open now. So far the only alpha listed is for the PC.
Remember back when the new Rainbow Six was first displayed? No? Well, you probably aren’t alone, it was a while ago. Initially, Ubisoft unveiled Rainbow Six: Patriots back in 2011. Patriots then just sort of disappeared. Ubisoft would occasionally mention that it was still in development, then it would be months before anyone would think to ask again.
The game apparently needed a lot of work following its initial reveal. So much so that it actually became a different game entirely. The re-reveal of Siege came at E3 2014. There aren’t really too many details to discuss about Siege, and we may not learn a whole lot from the alpha, which will be a multiplayer only experience.
For a shot at being picked for the alpha, you need to sign up at rainbow6.ubi.com. You will also need a Uplay account, and be located in North America or Europe. Below, you’ll find a list of the PC requirements – they won’t be the final PC specs, but they are what you’ll need for the alpha.
