This iguana escaping snakes to the NFL Primetime music is the best
In 2006, the BBC released the limited series, Planet Earth, convincing scores of people that the Earth is kinda pretty and that Blu-Ray (and at the time, HD DVD) was worth upgrading your home media player for. A decade later, a sequel is in the works and a few clips have been released, including one incredible video showing an iguana escaping several snakes that really, really want to kill it.
The clip is, in its own right, fairly incredible. The iguana straight up Indiana Joneses its way through a field of very angry snakes that lunge at it, missing it by inches – in some cases millimeters. The iguana just GTFOs its way through the angry horde, barely staying one step ahead of its pursuers – for a while, at least.
It’s a tense scene. If you like lizards, it’s nearly heart-stopping. On the other hand, if you are team snake this clip may be a little frustrating – at least at first. No spoilers here.
That alone makes the clip worth watching, but some mad genius went through and added the music to ESPN’s NFL Primetime. You can almost hear Chris Berman shouting, “And the lizard could. Go. All. The. Way” as he interjects the odd “whoop” sound to highlight a good juke move.
If none of that makes any sense to you, don’t worry, it doesn’t need to.
The clip was posted on Twitter by Uproxx’s Brian Grubb. Check it out, and the next time you see an iguana, show it some respect.
