‘Grand Theft Auto V’ launch trailer shows why the new gen version is worth your time

Grand Theft Auto V hits stores next week, but there’s still plenty of time for you to get excited for it. Check out the trailer for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions below to get a better idea of why the upgrade is so appealing.

The trailer is a stylized look at the game in the vein of the previous launch trailers for the game. It’s like many other GTA5 trailers that have been released over the last year and a half, but the big difference here is that what you see is running on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

If you are looking for a more detailed comparison, check out the differences between the PlayStation 3 and PS4 versions.

As for the game itself, the obvious question is whether or not you should buy it again if you already bought it once. That decision is between you and your god, but there is additional content added to lure back early adopters.

There are a handful of new missions to partake in, new events and rewards, new vehicles, and more. There is even a new way of playing the game, as you can switch to first person perspective on the fly.

The single biggest reason to pick up the game again may simply be that you can keep playing your original version Рat least the GTA Online version of it. Regardless of what platform you purchased the game on, you can transfer that character to the new gen platform of your choosing, regardless of console family. If you want to switch from Xbox 360 to PS4, you can, and the same is true of PS3 to Xbox One.

If you’re a new gen gamer and you haven’t played the game, you lucky bastard. The game went on to break six sales world records, so you are in the minority, but you also get to experience the game from scratch with¬†a new look.

Grand Theft Auto V arrives for PS4 and Xbox One on November 18. The PC version is coming on January 27, 2015.
