First look at Ultron in the ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ first trailer on the way
Joss Whedon and Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron won’t hit theaters until May 1, 2015, but the first trailer is set to air on October 28 during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. If you want a taste of what’s to come, check out the image above for your first look at Ultron, courtesy of Screen Crush.
Along with Ultron, take a look at the Iron Man-inspired Hulkbuster armor that was teased months ago, back when Marvel released concept art for the movie. Of course, just because it’s an Iron Man-ish armor, doesn’t necessarily mean Tony Stark is in the armor. Here’s the official synopsis of the film:
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
We also know that the film will feature the characters of Scarlet Witch (played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson), both of whom made a brief cameo during the button at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The character of Vision (played by Paul Bettany) will also appear, and given the casting of Bettany, it appears that there is a connection between Vision and Tony Stark’s AI, J.A.R.V.I.S.
We can make a few guesses about the plot (there may very well be some assembling going on…), but we should find out more when the trailer airs next Tuesday.
