Enjoy some trippy BMX tricks
Kriss Kyle is one of the best known BMX stunt riders in the world, thanks to his strange and unique tricks. His latest, known as “Kaleidoscope,” is no different. It’s a little mind-bending.
The clip features Kyle in a closed set, riding over strange and colorful platforms with the odd optical illusion thrown in for funsies. It gets a little Rube Goldberg-ish, as he uses the weight from one to activate another. If it were a video game, it would be a frustrating one to watch, but a cool one to play.
The video is sponsored by Red Bull, a company that loves nothing better than putting out weird videos. Usually, they involve extreme sports of some sort – sometimes it’s familiar ones like BMX, sometime it’s a little more original, like Red Bull’s “Crashed Ice” racing/tackling on ice series.
On a side note, if you haven’t seen the Crashed Ice series, you should take a few minutes. It’s nutbar.
As for this video, the Scottish born Kyle has been riding BMX bikes since the age of 10. He’s been all over the world, doing all manner of nutiness. For Kaleidoscope, he returned to his home town to create an arena filled with optical illusions.
Anyway, check it out below and enjoy.
