‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ screenshots show a very pretty future of warfare

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare drops on November 4 (November 3 if you count the “Day Zero Edition” for those that pre-order the game), and if you are a fan of the series you probably have at least a rough idea of what to expect from the game. At least in terms of gameplay. Visually though, well, that’s a different story.

Call of Duty Advanced screenshotsAlthough this is technically the second Call of Duty game to land on the new generation of consoles, you can make a strong argument that this is the first COD game designed primarily with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in mind. As such, the graphics look as good as they ever have in the series, and you can get a closer look in the gallery above.

The screenshots also give you a quick look at what is arguably the game’s most notable change from its predecessors: the exoskeleton. With it, you have a whole bunch of new, futuristic options you can equip, and the suits themselves offer new movement options that promise to alter the flow of the games. Check out the trailer below for more on the multiplayer. You can check out a general gameplay trailer too here.

On top of the exoskeletons, the game is set to offer a new level of customization when it comes to your online avatars. Given the detail available in the character models – which you can see in the images – that will be a significant overhaul.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will release for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in stores on November 4.
