Automatron, the first Fallout 4 DLC has a trailer and a release date
The first DLC for Fallout 4 is almost here! Like, days away. Bethesda released a new trailer for the DLC Automatron, and it comes with a firm release date. The new content will be available on March 22, and cost $9.99 (it will also be part of the Season Pass).
Bethesda announced Automatron last month, along with two other pieces of DLC included in the Season Pass. At the time though, it offered a vague March release for the DLC.
The new content will introduce an original storyline pitting you against the Mechanist, an enemy set on unleashing a robotic army on the Commonwealth. As you destroy your way through the metallic army, you will collect robotic bits and pieces. You’ll then use those parts to create your own robo-sidekick. There will be hundreds of options, allowing you to get really creative with your designs.
The next DLC, “Wasteland Workshop,” will be available in April for $4.99. It won’t be a full expansion like Automatron, but it will introduce some cool new tools, including the ability to tame Deathclaws.
After that, a third piece of add-on content titled Far Harbor will introduce a new area to explore off the coast of Maine. It will run $24.99, and is due in May. There will be more content after that, but Bethesda hasn’t announced anything else yet.
Automatron will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 22. When it is out, we’ll include some tips and tricks in our Fallout 4 guide.
