‘Assassin’s Creed Rogue’ story trailer shows life on the other side of the blade
The stories told in the Assassin’s Creed games so far have been – unsurprisingly given the name and all – focused on the assassin’s organization. The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Rogue turns all that on its head, however, and instead puts you in the shoes of Shay Patrick Cormac, a former assassin that joins the Templars to seek revenge.
The game is set during the Seven Years’ War, which puts it squarely between Assassin’s Creed IV and Assassin’s Creed III in the overall story. As the trailer shows, several familiar faces will make an appearance, helping to connect the two, previous games. You control the character of Cormac, who grows disillusioned with the assassin’s and instead vows revenge. Cormac’s journey takes him throughout North America and the North Atlantic, on both land and sea.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue is due out later this year as an exclusive for whatever you want to call the previous generation of consoles. Last gen? Anyway, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will get the game on November 11, with a PC version coming in 2015.
