2015 Academy Awards nominees

The 87th annual Academy Awards nominations have been announced. There aren’t too many major surprises following the recent Golden Globes (not that there weren’t a few snubs and unusual picks – as ever), and the winners will be announced on February 22, 2015.

Two films topped the list of nominations, Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel, both of which snagged nine nominations. The Imitation Game came in third with 8, followed by Boyhood and American Sniper with six each.
